Charles Measley has been running Fluff & Fold Laundry in New Jersey for 10 years. Tell us a bit about your business.

I’m Charles, the owner of Fluff & Fold Laundry in New Jersey. I’ve been working in the laundry industry since 2012, and in 2014, I took the next step by acquiring Fluff & Fold Laundry. When I first started offering pickup and delivery, I was handling everything myself—driving around in a two-door Chrysler Crossfire to pick up orders. It wasn’t long before demand outgrew my car, and in 2015, it was time to purchase my first dedicated delivery vehicle.

Years on and my business has expanded significantly! We have several stores and a thriving pick up and delivery business, with over 60,000 P&D orders made.

Before using CleanCloud, how did you stay in touch with your customers?

Staying in touch with customers was a challenge before making the move to CleanCloud. Communication was often delayed, making it frustrating for both our team and customers. Getting the right information to our customers at the right time was difficult, and our previous provider was slow to make improvements. One thing I really love about CleanCloud is that the system is always improving and updating. The recent release of the updated inbox means that all methods of communication are centralized into one dashboard including emails, texts and in-app messages. Now, our team can chat with customers faster than before which makes so much difference.

What results have you seen in revenue, customer growth, or order volume using CleanCloud?

Since changing over to CleanCloud, our customer base has steadily increased! One of the biggest reasons for this is CleanCloud’s web plug-in, which makes it easy for new customers to sign up and set their preferences. I feel the sign up process is one of the best in the industry, and the customization options allow us to adjust it to our specific needs.

What CleanCloud features have had the most impact for your business?

We opted to launch with the Grow package as we were running pickup and delivery. CleanCloud’s Route Optimizer is fantastic. Compared to our previous software, where optimizing a route felt like you had to be a rocket engineer, CleanCloud makes the process simple. One tool I didn’t even realize I needed until I had it was the Automatic Report Scheduler. It saves us so much time by automatically generating and delivering key reports. Without it, we likely wouldn’t have tracked certain insights simply because of the effort it takes to pull the data manually.

One other standout feature from CleanCloud is the automated marketing tools which has really helped us with our utilization rate—the percentage of customers who sign up and then place an order. After setting up this tool, we saw a 10% increase in pickup and delivery utilization, helping us convert more signups into paying customers.

Have you saved time by automating manual processes?

CleanCloud has definitely made running our business easier, especially when it comes to saving time on route planning. The Route Optimizer is a game-changer—what used to be a complicated process with our previous software is now seamless. Drivers can even optimize their own routes in a way that works best for them, making operations much more efficient.

Would you recommend CleanCloud’s Grow Package?

Even though CleanCloud’s Grow Package is the most expensive option, it’s worth every penny! You’re getting all the different tools that you get in one simple solution which are also customizable - it’s fantastic.
