As we head into the fifth month of the year, let’s take a look back at five of our biggest updates of 2024 from our revamped machines page to our new preset geofence options for your pickup and delivery service. We'll look at what each feature does, why they're among our top picks, and how they can improve your daily operations. First up, let’s take a look at the new updates for our drag-and-drop machines page.
Improved Machines Page
We’ve released version 3 of our machines page to make your workflow much more intuitive. This page is designed so you can easily assign orders to your washers, dryers and other stations by simply dragging and dropping the order card. With the latest release, it is now possible to split a single order across multiple machines and stages simultaneously. For instance, you might have part of a laundry batch in the wash while another portion is already being folded. This new setup lets you finish orders faster, making the process much more efficient from start to finish.
We have also simplified the way you assign multiple orders to a single machine. Just gather the orders from the 'To-Do' list, and combine them using the '+' sign in the 'Orders' section when you add the first one. Lastly, we’ve added a filter so you can view and display specific orders easily by clicking on the card number. This not only saves you time but improves how to manage orders.
Driver App Messenger
Next in our feature roundup, we released some new improvements for the CleanCloud Driver App starting with the newly introduced messenger tool. If you're managing a pickup and delivery service, our Driver App is your go-to for helping your team keep tabs on daily deliveries, follow specific routes for each order, and more. With the latest update, drivers can now message customers directly through the app, while keeping the drivers personal phone number confidential. This feature allows your drivers to easily send messages regarding their location or any other important notes, keeping your customers in the loop about their orders.
Customers using the app will get these updates as push notifications, and those on the web booking tool will see the messages pop up in a chat bubble on the top right corner of their screen.
Driver App Push Notifications
Following the release of the messenger tool, we also introduced push notifications for the Driver App. Now, your team of drivers will receive instant notifications for new same-day pickup orders. These notifications include all the important details such as the time slot, address, and customer name associated with each route. This addition means your staff are always aware of any additions to their current schedule improving the overall turnaround time of pickups and customer experience.
Subscriptions without Integrated Payments
Our next update applies to subscriptions. Previously, customers could set-up a subscription via the customer app or booking tool, and there would need to be a credit card saved on file to get started. You could then charge a fixed fee over a set period, providing customers with perks like discounted rates for laundry and dry cleaning services.
We've now improved this feature by allowing subscriptions to be created without the need for an integrated payment system. Instead of needing a bank card, everything can be handled through invoicing. This means the subscription cost will appear on the unpaid invoices page, and your staff will need to collect the payment in cash and manually mark the invoice as paid. This update provides more flexibility in how payments are processed, fitting different customer needs and preferences.
Geo-Fence Mile Radius Presets
Wrapping up our feature showcase, we've introduced an exciting update to our geofencing tool with new preset radius options. Previously, to make sure that your customers are located within your pickup and delivery service area, you could define an area by drawing out radius on a map.
In addition to this, we’ve now released a feature which allows you to choose a preset radius circle—available in 3, 5, 10, or 15 miles. Selecting one of these options will display a circle on the map automatically, clearly marking your service area. This feature simplifies the process of setting up accurate service boundaries, making it faster and easier. It's especially useful for our US customers who use DoorDash and need to adhere to specific delivery mile restrictions.
