Getting Started

Before we begin, here are some quick instructions on how to set your business page up on Yelp

  • Open the Yelp app and log in if you haven't already.
  • From the Yelp app homepage, tap the settings icon.
  • Tap "Add Business."
  • Fill out the form on the next page with the business' information.
  • Tap "Send" to finish the business listing.
Great, you have a Yelp account. Why is it so good for your business?

Yelp has been one of the most popular internet rating and review sites for local businesses since its initial reception in 2004. Many review sites have come and gone, but Yelp has continued to be highly trusted.

Like many dry cleaners and laundry services, word-of-mouth was a powerful purveyor of new customers. But with the classic local community structure wrecking apart in an online era, how could individuals know which business to trust? Yelp solves this problem- an online review site in which customers can share their experiences with confirmation that the business itself does exist.

There is also a lot more to Yelp than just customer reviews of local services. There is also a large collection of business tools designed to bring customers to your door. Like any social media platform Yelp for business owners, lets you post pictures, interact with your customers and even use targeted advertising tools to help your business grow.

Here are some ideas on how to boost your Yelp page:
CleanCloud Reviews Feature

Our sophisticated review module is a powerful tool that directly and automatically boosts your businesses online ratings and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Link your businesses Facebook, Google and Yelp account to CleanCloud and you can automatically or manually ask your customers to rate their experience and leave an online review.

This module is one of the most effective ways of increasing your online presence and ratings. The higher your review score, the higher up in Google searches you are, the more likely online business you receive. Google loves a 5-star business, why not become one of them?

Activate your Yelp Page:

Take the initiative by activating your Yelp page. E.g. adding photos, descriptions, menus, phone numbers and hours of operation

Respond to Existing Reviews:

This helps as customers like to feel acknowledged, and responding to Yelp reviews creates favourable impressions on your business, mainly that you care about your customers.

Post a Yelp Deal:

Yelp Deals are a great way to get good customers through the doors, who will likely write a review.

Add Happy Staff Photos:

Images of happy staff are a great way to not only create a positive first impression for your Yelp page visitors and may hold the power to discourage disgruntled customers from posting fierce comments.

If You Get Negative Reviews, Don’t Panic:

You can’t please everyone, and even the best businesses get some negative reviews on Yelp now and then. Always address negative issues calmly and reasonably. The CleanCloud review module can prevent negative reviews in an automated way, keeping the feedback internal for your business to use.
