Laundry Loyalty: Customer Incentives for Laundromats Using CleanCloud

23rd November 2023

Standing out isn't just about offering clean laundry—it's about creating an experience that keeps customers returning, wash after wash. When looking to boost customer loyalty, the power of incentives comes into play. Our software, CleanCloud, is changing the game for laundry businesses worldwide not just due to our specialized management tools, but also thanks to our suite of incentives designed to change a one-time customer to a regular.

In this blog, we will explore the different ways you can leverage CleanCloud to drive sales and increase customer loyalty. From promo codes to the rewards of loyalty points, the outreach of referral schemes, gift cards, and the consistent engagement of subscription models, we'll guide you through each incentive's potential.

Promo Codes

These are the digital age’s answer to traditional coupons and have become a staple for businesses in all types of industries. For laundromats, promo codes can serve as a powerful tool to attract new customers, retain existing ones, and track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. There are two main benefits to promo codes. The first being that you can drive more sales by offering limited-time discounts. These create a sense of urgency that encourages customers to make a purchase or place an order before the offer ends. Second being how they increase customer loyalty, rewarding your customers with exclusive codes is a great way to keep them coming back for more.

Set up with CleanCloud

For those using CleanCloud, configuring promo codes is a simple process. Just head over to the 'Discounts and Promos' area in your account and click on the promo codes option. This will lead you to a setup page where you can create new codes. You'll enter the essential details for your promotion, including the discount value, type of promo (like credit offerings), expiration date, and other relevant information. You can manage all of your codes from one page with the option to set up a one-time discount on a single order, ongoing discounts on future orders, or even offer account credits. You can also cap the number of times a promo code can be used, ensuring you maintain control over your promotion's reach and budget.

Campaign Ideas

If you are thinking of different ideas for promo campaigns, we have a few here. For first-time customers you could offer a welcome discount to entice visitors to try your services. Make the most of holiday seasons such as Thanksgiving, New Year’s or Valentine’s Day, by offering themed discounts and even create bundle deals with codes that apply to service bundles. For example, you may offer wash-and-fold plus dry cleaning to help increase sales.

Loyalty Points Scheme

Loyalty points are a currency awarded to customers as part of a rewards program, designed to incentivize repeat business. With CleanCloud you can offer your customers loyalty points that are linked to how much they spend in your store. It’s a way that not only encourages additional spending but also creates a strong connection between your business and your customers. This is a win-win situation where people feel rewarded for using your services, and your laundromat or dry cleaners benefits from repeat business.

Set up with CleanCloud

Under the same ‘Discounts and Promos’ section as mentioned above, you’ll find the Loyalty Points option. Once the program is enabled, you can decide how spending translates into points. For instance, a rate of 10 means that for every $100 spent, your customer earns $10 in credit. A rate of 5 means $100 spent brings them $5 in credit.

Market your Loyalty Program to Customers

Spread the word so more customers join the program. Clearly explain how the program works and the benefits it offers and share through email marketing or social media. You could create a promo code with an offer only available for customers who sign up to your loyalty points scheme.

Referral Scheme

The power of a referral scheme works wonders, all you do is leverage your existing customer base to attract new ones. By having your current clients refer friends and family to your business, you’re essentially turning them into a commission-free sales force! People tend to trust recommendations from those they know so a well-structured referral program can create a cycle of repeat and new business.

Set up with CleanCloud

And of course, setting up a referral scheme is really easy for CleanCloud users. Activate in the promo section and select between two options. You can choose to give a one-time discount or credit, or a share of the revenue from the sales made through their referrals. You can easily monitor the use of referral codes and invitations, keeping tabs on your customer engagement.

Ways to Promote your Referral Scheme

Send out an email to existing customers explaining how the referral scheme works with instructions on how to participate. Use your social media platforms and encourage followers to share the news! Make sure you make it easy for them to find their referral code which with CleanCloud can be seen in the “invite” tab in either the web booking tool or customer app. Accessing the Invite page will give your customers a summarized view of the benefits they - and their referrals - will get out of using the referral code details. Alternatively you can also do some in-store advertising and place signage in the prominent areas of your laundromat.

Gift Cards

Everyone loves a gift card! And they are a great revenue-generating tool for laundromats. They stand out as a thoughtful and convenient gift choice, drawing in new customers who may end up spending more than the card's worth.

Set up with CleanCloud

You can set up physical or digital gift cards. Begin by adding them as a product in your CleanCloud account. Customize the 'product' button with a unique icon and label to make it easily identifiable among your offerings. When creating your gift card product, simply choose its form—physical card or electronic version—enter the amount, and assign a specific code to each card. Our point-of-sale system will handle the sale of these gift cards just like any standard transaction.

For gift card redemption, the process is just as user-friendly. The gift card recipient will present the unique code they received at the time of purchase. When they come in to use their gift card, all you need to do is enter this code into the system alongside their order.

Seasonal Promotions

The best time to sell gift cards are for the holidays and other seasonal events. A laundromat gift card could also be a great gift for back-to-college season or a thoughtful housewarming present. These are busy times where people may not have time to do their laundry, so a paid for trip to the local laundromat is great. Showcase your gift cards using social media and emails targeted to your customer base.

Subscriptions

Subscription models provide a consistent revenue stream for companies and convenience for consumers. By offering subscription plans, you provide customers with the convenience of regular service in exchange for a recurring fee. For instance, you might offer a monthly subscription of $10 for access to exclusive benefits like reduced rates on laundry and dry cleaning, or inclusion in a premium pickup and delivery service. With CleanCloud, these subscriptions are seamlessly managed, with automatic billing and charging, simplifying the process for both you and your customers.

We equip laundromats with an array of powerful tools to boost customer engagement and loyalty. These features are super easy to set up and manage within your CleanCloud account and they are great incentives to have to help encourage repeat business and create a positive customer experience.
