Meet the Team: Eva Gorman

4th March 2024

Introducing our new Meet the Team series! Each month, we chat with people across our sales, marketing, support and tech departments. It gives you the chance to learn about who we are and all the people who work hard to make CleanCloud the best for you, our valuable customers.

This month, the spotlight is on Eva Gorman, one of our Junior Account Executives in Sales who joined us back in April last year. Learn all about Eva's time before she joined CleanCloud, from graduating university to jetting off to Italy for a few months during her gap year. Discover what is next on Eva’s bucket list, what her favourite CleanCloud features are and, of course, her ultimate office snack preference.

Q: Can you tell us a bit about your background?

In 2021 I graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Economics. Afterwards I decided to take a year out and spent six of those months living in Genova in Italy. I immersed myself in the culture, tried lots of tasty food, and spent some time learning the Italian language. I then moved back home and started a job in retail on the operations team. My main roles were to bring in different deliveries and keep an accurate track on the stock levels. It was then a good time to make the next step in my career where I began working for CleanCloud, joining the sales team in April 2023.

Q: How long have you been with CleanCloud and what do you enjoy most about your role?

I’ve been with CleanCloud for almost a year now. It was my first time working in a professional sales team and I quickly found that everyone was really easy to talk to which really helped me settle into my role. The team is always ready to share their insights and any questions amongst one another which creates a nice environment to work in.

My approach is helpful and straightforward which I think a lot of our customers appreciate. I always try to prioritise their specific needs without coming across too pushy. At CleanCloud, we are really big on trust and building genuine connections with our customers, so the sales process is all about understanding what they are looking for and how our service can match up to this. It’s nice to have conversations with different people and listen to make sure they feel valued.

Q: What has been your proudest achievement since joining CleanCloud?

Being the netball captain for the CleanCloud team during a SaaS league tournament. It was so much fun and a great way to bond as a team outside of the office - let’s see if we have any more matches in the future!

Q: What is your top CleanCloud feature?

I'd say the Google review feature. It's a great way for businesses to showcase their positive reviews which ultimately helps drive more people to their business. It’s one of the features that customers are always impressed by and give good feedback on. I also love our driver app, it’s really great for our P&D customers because it syncs with the POS, and gives  real-time updates and live driver tracking. It just makes running P&D so much easier for both our customers and their customers.

Q: What is your favourite office snack?

I love eating chocolate biscuits and Cannoli, an Italian crispy treat filled with pistachio. It’s the perfect pick-me-up during a busy day.

Q: When it’s your turn to be an office DJ, what music are you most likely to play?

I’m a big fan of 80’s disco tunes and Beyonce; sales teams always want to keep the energy up so it’s got to be something high energy!

Q: Be honest, how good are you with the laundry?

Laundry day is once a week for me. I have a heated clothes rack which is fun to use and also a great eco-friendly option.

Q: Lastly, what is next on your bucket list?

This year, I’m planning to spend a month working from Singapore. I’ve always wanted to travel there as it just looks like such an interesting and fun country to learn about and discover.

I’m really fortunate that CleanCloud offers the flexibility to work from anywhere so I can mix up a bit of travel with work.
